SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT

Our Substance Abuse Treatment Program is designed to enhance and improve the quality of life for the young boys that we serve, by providing the best practices in alcohol and drug treatment, promoting sobriety and a healthy lifestyle.

Our philosophy includes the belief that substance addictions are an illness/disease that is primary, progressive and potentially fatal. We view chemical dependency as an illness that affects every aspect of the individual’s life.

Therefore, we utilize the most current and up to date practices based on scientific research in treating adolescent substance abuse disorders, as well as any associated underlying mental or emotional issues. Although the primary focus is on the client’s substance abuse issues, other emotional and behavioral issues are also addressed utilizing a holistic approach.

Treatment includes individual, group, Equine Therapy, and family counseling (when there is a family) using the Tulsa Boys’ Home Relationship Healing Model. In addition, the client’s treatment includes the Oklahoma Model Treatment Program endorsed by the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, the Hazelden Step process, self-help support group meetings and a Positive Peer Culture.
