Tulsa Boys' Home Running Club

The Tulsa Boys' Home Running Club has a long history of participating in runs sponsored by the Tulsa Running Club (TRC), Tulsa Public Schools (TPS) and Youth Services of Tulsa (YST).

Recreation Coordinator Mark Rector has reported that thirteen boys have expressed interest in joining the Running Club this year, and our club has already participated in the St. Pats 5K, Wish Lemons 5K, Git Fit Tulsa 5K, and Flap Jack Dash 5K.

During the running season, our club also volunteers to set up and clean up after many of these races. To motivate team members, a point system coupled with incentives like T-shirts, shorts, socks, and running shoes are given to our residents.

The TBH Running Club usually ends each season with a dinner at a nice restaurant for the boys who have participated and learned important lessons about the benefits of physical fitness, determination, and persistence in living a successful life.

Special recognition is always due the Tulsa Running Club for their continuing support of TBH and its running club! It wouldn't happen without them!
