Run for the Roses
Run for the Roses is our biggest fundraising event of the year! This annual event, held the first Saturday in May, is filled with non-stop fun, the finest food and beverages including fine wine, cigar pulls, and great live and silent auctions throughout the afternoon. The festivities include a live simulcast of the Kentucky Derby, from Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky on four jumbotron screens, and real-time betting for our guests courtesy of Fair Meadows racetrack staff. So mark your calendars for the first Saturday in May. Ladies, get out your fancy hats and derby dresses for Tulsa's springtime event of the year, Tulsa Boys' Home's Run for the Roses!
TBH Golf Tournament
Our annual Frank R. Rhoades Golf Classic is held for two days in May each year and is always a lot of fun! A combination of the Scramble and Best Ball formats, the TBH "Shamble" Golf Tournament is chaired by longtime TBH board member and benefactor Frank Rhoades, and is the longest running charity golf tournament in the Tulsa area!
The Junior Women's Association of Tulsa Boys' Home conduct quite a few fundraising events each year that benefit TBH. The Buttercup Bash is among their finest, with a casino-themed night of games, drinks, dancing, auctions, and more.
The Women's Association of Tulsa Boys' Home holds their annual Spring Luncheon in April. The luncheon is an elegant and fun time with a silent auction, and live entertainment - these ladies know how to have a good time!
In the springtime, there's a new charity 5K in town - the Derby Dash! This annual event is new to TBH, but it is an exciting fundraiser centered around our our Junior Women's Association.
