Alumni

Since the beginning of Tulsa Boys' Home in 1918, almost 11,000 boys have come through our doors.  Several have stayed in touch over the years.

At the 75th Anniversary of Tulsa Boys' Home in 1993, several men got together and formed an alumni group of boys who had lived here during the 30s, 40s, and 50s, when TBH was known as an orphanage.

Currently, this alumni group meets the second Monday of each month at 11:00 at the Golden Corral at 21st and Memorial in Tulsa.  All past alumni are invited to attend and signicant others are invited as well.

In addition, some recent TBH graduates of our program formed a traditional alumni association for the more recent, younger boys.

The founders of this new alumni group include R.J., Gary, Coty, and Aaron.  The constitution of the new association includes its mission statement and the rules that will govern its actions.  Its mission states, in part:

The Alumni, being of one accord, have committed themselves to the development of a support system to help insure the emotional, monetary, and overall betterment of the well being of all residents and discharges of Tulsa Boys' Home.

The Alumni, being former members of Tulsa Boys' Home, are committed to giving back what has been given to them.

The Alumni also will not ask of those they help to give back, but forever hope that by living the principle of Reciprocity, all who help will in turn help others.

All interested alumni are welcome.

For more information about the Association or to join, you may call the Tulsa Boys' Home at (918) 245-0231 and ask for our Aftercare Coordinator.
